The Mumbai Fire Brigade plans to set up a disaster recovery site that will be a mirror replica of its existing control room in Borivali to create a backup for its integrated command and control centre. Byculla is home to the brigade’s existing state-of-the-art integrated command and control system, which includes a vehicle tracking system and distress call management based on GIS and GPS (Global Positioning System).
