C-DOT signs up with IR to supply local gears

To help Indian Railways minimise its reliance on foreign technology, the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) would deliver locally produced technological solutions worth over Rs 2,114 crore. The Railways Ministry and the C-DOT have struck an agreement to replace foreign technology gears in Indian railways. C-DOT will provide its R&D expertise in building indigenous technology, and Indian Railways will deploy these solutions through its wide network.
