SJVN Limited, a state-owned company, has signed a deal with Tata Power Solar Systems to build a 1,000 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, worth Rs 5,500 crore. The deal covers end-to-end delivery of a commissioned solar plant to SJVN, including land acquisition on an outright basis, power evacuation up to the ISTS (interstate transmission system) substation, and three years of operation and maintenance of the solar PV plant.
