PM dedicates five projects totaling over Rs 2960 crore in TN

The Prime Minister dedicated five projects totaling over Rs 2960 crore to the nation. The 75-kilometre Madurai-Teni (Railway Gauge Conversion Project), which cost over Rs. 500 crore to build, will improve access and enhance tourism in the region. The 30 km long third railway line between Tambaram and Chengalpattu, built at a cost of approximately Rs. 590 crore, will enable more Suburban services to run, providing more options and improving travel comfort for passengers. The 115-kilometre Ennore-Chengalpattu section and the 271-kilometre Thiruvallur-Bengaluru section of the ETB PNMT natural gas pipeline, which cost around Rs. 850 crore and Rs. 910 crore respectively, will improve natural gas supply to consumers and industries in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
