Uttar Pradesh government may setup 75 compressed biogas plant in the state

The government of Uttar Pradesh is considering establishing at least one compressed biogas plant (CBG) in each of the state’s 75 districts in order to find a long-term solution to the stray cow problem by assisting in the commercialization of livestock shelters. Two companies, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) and Adani Total Gas (ATG), have expressed interest in establishing CBG plants to manufacture biogas from cattle dung and crop leftovers, according to media sources.
