The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed the installation of the first special steel span of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, above the mainline Indian railway crossing. This unique steel span is 73 meters long and weighs around 850 tons. It was installed utilizing a winch and roller mechanism on piers of around 10 meter height on both sides of the Indian railway rails. This is the first special steel span of the 17-kilometer priority stretch between Sahibabad and Duhai, which is scheduled to open in 2023. Another unusual steel span of roughly 150 meters is under construction close before the Ghaziabad RRTS Station, where the RRTS viaduct is crossing a road flyover and the Delhi Metro viaduct at the same time.
