Indian Railways is redeveloping stations to provide modern amenities to passengers. There are number of stations which are being redeveloped. The Indian Railways has developed and commissioned Rani Kamalapati station of West Central Railway and Gandhinagar Capital station of Western Railway. Based on the experience gained from these two projects, the techno-economic feasibility, modernisation of other stations are being planned. The Ministry of Railways is exploring various possibilities of funding to undertake development of Railway Stations under different models.
