In a written reply to the Lower House, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that civil works for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) or bullet train project have begun on a 342-kilometer long line in Gujarat in various phases beginning December 2020. The project’s final site survey and geotechnical research have been completed, as well as the alignment. Wildlife, Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ), and forest approvals have all been secured according to the law.
