The Metro Rail projects for the city of Mumbai seems to be on the slow track. The Metro 2A (DN Nagar-Dahisar) and 7 (Dahisar-Andheri via Western Express Highway), are yet to see the launch. The Mumbai Metro Line 2A covering 18.6 km will connect Dahisar to DN Nagar with 17 elevated stations. The Line 2A is being constructed at a cost of Rs 6,400 crore. Apart from the Mumbai Metro Line 7 covering 16.5 km will connect Dahisar (East) to Andheri with 13 elevated metro stations, being constructed at a cost of Rs 6,200 crore. The MMRDA has postponed the launch from October 2021 to January 2022.
