The Tamil Nadu Government has announced 63 health centres and three medical laboratories in Coimbatore at a cost of Rs 16 crore. Coimbatore Municipal Corporation has identified suitable locations for setting up these health centres except for 15 locations out of 63. Each of the proposed health centre would address the needs of 15,000 to 20,000 people.
