Star Cement has recently commissioned a cement grinding unit in Bengal at an investment of Rs 450 crore. With this, the overall capacity of the company has touched a little over 6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) with a clinker capacity of 2.8 million tonne. The company is considering plans to set up an additional clinker capacity of around 2 million tonnes and another grinding unit. The estimated investment will be Rs. 1,400 crore.
