NLC India Limited has recently commissioned the second unit of the 2×500 MW Neyveli New Thermal Power Project (NNTPP) after the unit successfully completed 72 hours of continuous trial run. The unit will commence commercial operation after obtaining formal clearance from the Southern Regional Load Despatch Centre. The first unit of the NNTPP was commissioned in December, 2019. BHEL has supplied the steam generator and turbine generator packages for the NNTPP.
