The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is considering plans to extend Corridor-4 (Light House-Poonamallee Bypass) of the Chennai Metro Rail project from Poonamallee Bypass to Thirumazhisai Satellite Township covering 4-km stretch. The said stretch will pass through the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway. AECOM is appointed to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) on extending the 26-km Corridor-4 from the existing stretch to the Thirumazhisai Satellite Township. The report is likely to complete by June 2021.
