Two new metro rail elevated corridors in Bengaluru

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)

BMRCL plans to establish two new metro rail elevated corridors to augment an efficient and safe transportation system. The project comprises a metro corridor of 56 km along the Outer Ring Road and NH-44 between Central Silk Board and Kempegowda International Airport. The metro corridor will have 30 metro stations which will include multimodal facilities, such as bus bays, taxi stands, motorcycle pools, and pedestrian walkways and bridges. Multilateral lending agency Asian Development Bank (ADB) has recently approved a $500 million loan for this project.
