Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)


Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has decided to invest Rs 31000 crore on the development of mining and social infrastructure by 2023-24. The company is targeting 300 million tonne capacity and plans to invest in the acquisition of land for three new Mine, Develop and Operate (MDO) projects. These projects include Siarmal with potential of 50 million tonne per annum (MTPA) output in Ib Valley, Subhadra with 25 MTPA capacity, and Balbhadra North with 10 MTPA capacity in Talcher coalfields. The investment will also cover the expansion of existing projects.
