Indian Oil Corporation plans to expand its crude oil processing capacity at its Barauni refinery in Bihar by 50 per cent to 9 million tonne per annum in the next three years. ABB Power Grids has got the 220/33 kilovolt gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation contract. ABB will assimilate power from the Bihar State Power Transmission Corporation Ltd and IOCL’s captive generation plants and deliver it with efficiency to the Barauni refinery.
