Berger Paints’ Greenfield Investments
Berger Paints is set to invest ₹2,000 crore in the establishment of two new greenfield manufacturing plants in eastern India. The project, located in Panagarh, Bengal, is aimed at boosting Berger Paints’ installed capacity by 25-30%. Construction is anticipated to start soon, with commissioning expected by the end of 2025. The project is progressing smoothly, with approvals in process.
Reliance Industries’ Gas Cracker Unit Expansion
Reliance Industries Limited proposes a major expansion of its Gas Cracker Unit at Nagothane. The expansion plan includes increasing production to 350,000 TPA of ethylene, along with associated products, utilities, and auxiliaries. The environmental clearance for this project is still pending.
Alisha Torrent Closures’ New Facility
Alisha Torrent Closures India Private Limited plans to set up a new manufacturing facility in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir (UT), with an annual production capacity of 624 million plastic closures. The company has filed an Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEM) to initiate this project.
Adani Power’s Raigarh Thermal Power Plant Expansion
Adani Power Limited has proposed a substantial expansion of the Raigarh Thermal Power Plant in Chhattisgarh. The expansion includes the addition of 1,600 MW (2×800 MW) of ultra-supercritical technology to the existing 600 MW unit. The expansion will span several villages, including Chhote Bhandar, Bade Bhandar, Sarvani, and Amli Bhanuna, in Tehsil Pussore, District Raigarh.
