ONGC Limited Projects
ONGC is preparing for a new geothermal drilling campaign in Ladakh, with a focus on harnessing emission-free energy sources. The project holds promise for providing electricity, heating, and irrigation in Ladakh’s challenging terrains. Scheduled to commence drilling in June, the aim is to complete two 1,000-meter wells by September. Success could pave the way for the operation of a 1 MW power plant by next year. ONGC is receiving guidance from Iceland, a global leader in geothermal energy solutions.
