The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has pioneered a groundbreaking initiative by constructing two innovative toilets utilizing recycled waste materials, such as plastic bottles and keyboards. These cutting-edge facilities mark a significant milestone as the first of their kind in the state and are integral to the implementation of the central government’s ambitious aspirational toilets scheme. Looking ahead, NMMC envisions the construction of additional similar toilets in the future. The civic body’s commitment to this eco-friendly endeavor is aligned with the directives from the central government, and the initial installations can be found in sector 14 and 19 of Kopar Khairane.
