South Central Railways plans to develop the Cherlapally Railway Terminal in an area of 250 acres. So far, only 50 acre of land is available which is sufficient enough to build four more platforms in addition to the current two. The work is going on. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is constructing the approach road to the terminal.
