NTPC Limited is implementing the Kerendari ‘A’ Coal Mining Project of 6 MTPA peak capacity in mine lease area of 654 ha of M/s NTPC Limited located in villages Pandu, Tarhessa, Kabed, Pagar, Basaria and Lochar, Tehsil-Kerendari, District Hazaribagh in North Karanpura Coalfields. The company request for an amendment in environmental clearance for the project was turned down in April 2020. The amendment was related to transportation of coal.
