RVNL is implementing the construction of New BG line from Mau to Tarighat in Varanasi Division of N.E. Railway. As per the last review report released in November, 2019, so far 23 per cent of the work is completed. The completion is targeted by December, 2024. The construction of Rail Cum Road bridge on river Ganga between Ghazipur-Tarighat is in progress. The contract for approach viaduct on both sides of Rail cum Road bridge at Ghazipur has been awarded and physical work has started Tarighat to Ghazipur section.
